Raita, a cheap and delicious dish is very common in India & Pakistan. It is a yogurt based, salty cooling side dish . There are many ways to prepare the dish. It gives tremendous taste when served chilled and any leftovers refrigerated. You can drop any item into the yogurt to make raita.
Mine was made of coriander leaves, tomatoes, mint leaves, green and red chillies and onion are chopped fine. Mix them into the yogurt. Raita is mostly served salty. I wanted mine a little sweet,so I added sugar in it.I kept it in the fridge to chill.
Can be eaten with briyani rice, pulav, kebabs or even snacks such as pakhoras, vadai and so on. It is all up to your imagination....
